Castles and Michelin Chef in the Food Valley

An unforgetable experience in the birthplace of Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Salame di Felino, Culatello di Zibello, Vini Doc dei Colli Piacentini, Vini Doc dei Colli Parmensi, Lambrusco Reggiano Doc, Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia and other fantastic products.
A visit to these factories will be organized, followed by product tasting.
We will visit this magnificent zone enjoying the most beautiful castles in Italy and a visit to Busseto where Giuseppe Verdi spent most of his life.
For the first three days we stay in the magnificent castle of Corte Pallavicina where Michelin * Chef, Massimo Spigaroli, prepares luxury dinners and breakfasts. The next three days will see us at Locanda Cà Matilde owned by Michelin * Chef Andrea Incerti Vezzani, who will prepare our gourmet dinners and breakfasts.
On the last day we will visit the Ferrari Museum and Bologna Centre. For our last dinner we will be hosted by Michelin * Chef Agostino Lacobucci at Portici Restaurant.
All Dinners are accompaned by a different wine for every course specially chosen by Michelin Chefs. Overnight stay in Bologna centre 4*S Hotel.

We proceed to Castello di Polesine Parmense visiting Corte Pallavicina Farm: Michelin Chef Massimo Spigaroli, Culatello di Zibello is produced in the very old cellers. (with tasting). Dinner and overnight in Corte Pallavicino.

Breakfast at 7.30 for those guests who would like to visit Parmigiano Reggiano factory, with tasting. Wortwhile getting up early. Tour on flat land visiting on the way the town of Busseto where Giuseppe Verdi was born and Villa Verdi where he lived and where his relatives are still living. Dinner and overnight in Corte Pallavicino.

A short trip take us for a visit to the magnificent Vigoleno Castle. Then we proceed on an other visit to the medieval town of Castel Arquato where we have lunch and taste the Vini dei Colli Piacentini in the Cantina Cardinali.In the afternoon visiting Salumificio la Rocca with tasting of salumi Dop Piacentini. Free time till dinner and overnight in Corte Pallavicino.

Visit to Fontanellato castle (surrounded by water moat), the paintings of the famous artist Parmigianino and the original furniture of the San Vitale family who lived in the castle for over 500 years. Followed by transfer to Fidenza Village Shopping Outlet (approximately four hours stay) where one can also have lunch. Arrival in Cà Matilde for dinner and overnight stay.

Visiting the most spectacular castle of the “Ducato”. We will see Torrechiara castle, one of the most important in Italy. After that, we will discover the factory of Prosciutto di Parma and Salame di felino, with tasting. In the afternoon we will visit the wonderfull city of Parma. Gourmet dinner and overnight at Cà Matilde.

Visiting Canossa Castle, where Matilde, one of the most important women of the Middle Ages, lived. We proceed with the visit of “Tenuta il Roncolo”, where we can discover the secrets of the Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia and of the Lambrusco Reggiano DOC, followed by product tasting. In the afternoon, we return to Cà Matilde, where we can relax before our Gourmet dinner.

Short transfer for the Ferrari Galery in Maranello. After the visit, on request we can drive a Ferrari in circuit or in street. In the afternoon we will visit the spectacular Bologna, where we will be hosted by Michelin * Chef Agostino Lacobucci at “I portici” Restaurant. Overnight in a historical 4* S Hotel in the city centre.

Transfer for Bologna airport.
